Abstract: According to the introduction this manual is a major rewrite of the Road Engineering Manual which was first published in 1999. The new Forest road engineering manual is intended to be a guide for those who have a limited engineering background – in other words it is not just for engineers. It has confusing publication dates inside - a copyright date of 2011, another date of February 2012 but it was officially published in late 2012.
