Abstract: Between the 15th and 18th of May this year, Foresters descended on Palmerston North to enjoy a really great conference. The Manuwatu/Wairarapa region is a hotbed of important issues, those really juicy ones, where forestry and agricultural ecosystems intersect with human values and culture. Take, for instance, the erosion that plagues hill country farmers, and further plagues dairy farmers in the Wairarapa during floods.
