Abstract: The many uses of sheet or panel products include furniture, joinery and fitments, cladding (sheathing), flooring, sheet bracing in walls or ceilings, components such as Web I or C beams and materials handling such as in bins for produce transport. This article briefly describes some of the available woodbased sheet materials. It is limited in detail because there is such a variety of panel products. Many manufacturers have excellent brochures that contain product data, design details and information on handling and finishing.
