Abstract: Management of cutover to establish a new crop of trees is achieved through a series of operations, all of which are affected by a variety of on-site and off-site influences. The objective is cost-effective preparation of a good planting site. The operations employed will vary from site to site and are inter-dependent. None of them should be treated in isolation.
