Abstract: Forest Industries Training is the Industry Training Organisation for the New Zealand forest industries, established under the Industry Training Act 1992, the Tertiary Education Reform Bill 2002 and the Industry Training (Amendment) Act 2002. It is owned by industry to work on all aspects of education and training for the New Zealand forest industries. Forest Industries Training has gazetted coverage of the following sectors: -forestry – establishment, silviculture and harvesting -solid-wood processing -pulp and paper manufacturing -wood panel manufacturing -forest health and biosecurity -credit and finance
