Abstract: Suzie Peacock is the Head of the School of Arts and Media at NMIT. She is greatly looking forward to using the new facilities from early in 2011, and believes that buildings can have “quite an influence on the people who inhabit them”. She believes the structure will be much more than just a passive container for the activities that take place within it - it will itself be a teacher and an active enabler of learning. Students will take inspiration from this role model of great design, best practice, teamwork and expertise. “We are enormously proud of this building,” she says.
