Bugs and biodiversity in Scotland's plantation forests.

Abstract: The major findings of the UK biodiversity research programme and interesting contrasts with the New Zealand situation are summarized. The value of plantation forests in biodiversity conservation in Scotland is discussed in relation to New Zealand. The importance of these plantation forests in supporting a rich insect fauna is emphasized.
