A review of the Douglas-fir in New Zealand

Abstract: This paper summarizes the papers presented, and the discussion which took place, at a symposium held at Rotorua in 1974. Its purpose, was to examine current knowledge of, and attitudes to, the role of Douglas fir in New Zealand as a forest crop and as a source of wood products. The symposium examined silvics, wood properties, marketing, current management and future prospects for the species in New Zealand.
