Abstract: A note describing the performance of P. radiata planted on farm pasture and on a site cleared of native forest and invaded by grass. The indications are that good-quality planting stock (11/2 + 0 or 2 + 0 seedlings, conditioned for planting by repeated wrenching - cf. FA 34, 1632) can compete with certain grasses and give acceptable survival and growth.
