Abstract: An outline of the N.Z. Deerstalkers Association Animal Research Group's activities is given. Methods used for the collection and recording of field data are described, and some conclusions as to the effectiveness of the sportsman in animal-control work are drawn from information collected over the past five years.
A comparison between this research project and the Angler's Diary Scheme is made, and emphasis is laid on the necessity for integration of such information with future Government research.
